Achieving Performance Perfection with Potter: Improv Workshop
After its successes in Boston, Orlando, and Portland, the Gryffinpuff Improv Troupe is back for Orlando 2014! This program will work to develop improvisational and performance skills using the works of J.K. Rowling as a starting point. The program will teach classic improv games and help teach stage technique and rules with a nerdy twist! Games will include Portland favorites such as Wizarding World's Worst, the Slug Club, and the Hogwarts Mystery Dating Game Show.

For years, fans have had the chance to attend workshops with the HPA's creator Andrew Slack: diving deep into creativity and past the muggle mindset. This time, Andrew is taking it up a few notches in a playful (and vulnerable) interactive workshop that explores the power of story, our human experiences, and the magic of our imagination. Panel will include activities, discussion, and meditation.

Live Plot Twist: Make Your Favorite Novels Your Own
The authors will open up the conversation by explaining what world building is and giving their favorite examples from famous novels. The world shapes the character's behavior, and the two must be symbiotic. The room will be divided into three groups named after locations that appear in Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and The Hunger Games. Each group will have 15 minutes to create an alternate plot twist to the story, while staying within the confines of the world's established apsects. The winning group will all recieve swag, so come create your own twist!

Using everyday local newspaper stories, James Moran will build an outline from scratch and recreate the atmosphere of a writers’ room where attendees will be able to contribute to the creativity. "It's fun, and silly, and terrifying, and can easily go catastrophically wrong," he says. Sounds like fun to us!

Dance Against the Dark Arts: We Love Weasleys!
For the fourth straight year, Dance Against the Dark Arts is returning to LeakyCon with a completely overhauled version of their most popular programs - this time with a Weasley twist! This workshop will focus on using movement and physicality to create unique characters, in much the same way that artists and writers create characters. Participants will explore the movement patterns of their favorite members of the Weasley family and learn to incorporate those physical characters into fun and innovative choreography. ALL skill levels are welcome, from ickle firsties to those studying for their N.E.W.T.s! Wear comfortable clothing and bring water!
